Tire problem

Asked by Ace4JC Nov 22, 2013 at 08:45 AM about the 2008 BMW 3 Series 328i Coupe RWD

Question type: General

I  put a set of Bridgestone Potenza run flats on my car, and after 6000 miles, the rear tires were worn out.  The tire people replaced them for free.  Now, after about 5000 miles, they are almost worn out again.  The front tires still look great.  Is the problem my tires or is the rear end of the car chewing them up?

A friend of mine had the same problem with his 2008 coupe. The camber was way off and he was having the exact same symptoms you were. I believe Tom hit the nail on the head. go to any tire or wheel shop and get your camber\caster looked at.

BMW runs negative camber anyways that's how the car handles so good. But yeah 4 wheel alignment will fix it. I think all bmw's have had this problem once or twice.
