compare your model info on opposedforces.com... Why not just fix it tho?

Light-to-moderate rod knock is not always terminal in the 2.5i. Keep coolant and lube up to snuff (use 20w50 summer) and maybe you won't throw one. I've seen some go another 50+k with moderate knock. Tough buggers....

Thesubaruguruboston I haven't drove car since I took it straight home which was 5 mins away and took engine out thing there's a chance if put engine back in and put lubricant and everything in ?

lol yeah but you didn't listen to the engine to figure out which cylinder before removing? Do the imprezas (cylinder 4) have the same low oil pressure as early foresters?

Aw geez...if the knock was light, and only on initial fast throttle I'd just put her back together. If it was banging away on the lightest throttle or at idle maybe just chase another one since you've already pulled it. Again, they're tough blocks. Good luck. Ern
