Why would my car lose power and die while driving

My car lost power could not accelerate coasted
and at died. Tried to start just clicked fast. There
was no power at all no lights could even open
trunk. Jump started it and went about 5 miles dies
again jump put another battery in made it13 miles
to home.put battery out of car on charger all nite
and it started right up. Couple weeks later it did it
again. Any ideas
