Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 and I was having problem filling up at the
pump where as the pump will stop every 5 sec as if the tank was full. I replaced
the fuel pump with a new one and the problem didn't go away. Any ideas will be
greatful.

Check the following: tank vent line, vent valve, EVAP charcoal filter. The tank needs to vent the increasing pressure when adding fuel, if not the rise in pressure triggers the gas pump handle to shut off.
