2008 ford f150 randomly blowing F6 fuse. Also no instrument cluster lights. I can't find any short circuits with random fuse blowing. Are these two connected and any suggestions on how to resolve the issue(s)/ Thanks.d

I have a 2008 Ford F150 XLT the recently blew the F6 fuse while I was pulling a trailer.  At that time I had no instrument cluster lights either.  Replacing the fuse brought back both the tail lights and cluster lights.  Since then the cluster lights have gone off and the tail lights have remained on.  Until recently when the F6 fuse blew again.  Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?  I can live without cluster lights, but no tail lights is downright dangerous.  Thanks.

I think you may have a bad ground on the trailer light circuit. Have a look for any corrosion in the bulb sockets and inspect the wiring for breaks or a bad ground wire. As far as the cluster issue it's probably on the same fuse circuit and to verify you would have to have a look at the workshop manual for that. Good Luck!
