I would check for loose or broken wire on oil sending unit or oil sensor on engine block could be intermittent contact from engine vibration. Easy things first but don't overfill oil

I just bought a new 2019 Charger 3.6L Pentastar. I first checked the oil at 1300 miles and found it to be about 2-1/2 Litres low (or about half full). Appears that the dealership did not do the PreDelivery Inspection that they promised. Camshaft/valve area at top of engine now has dominant metallic ticking/tapping sounds. Is this a sign of internal damage?
