Tow it, ASAP maintenance or can I drive it home (150 miles?)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car makes a loud 'clunk' when put into reverse or drive with a
simultaneous shudder.Also the orange engine check light stays lit and the
'D'rive light flashes. Otherwise it runs fine. No problems prior to this morning
when the symptoms first appeared. Is it the engine mounts? Can I drive the car
the 150 miles home?
