2008 Ford Edge Limp Mode & Wrench light

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Ford Edge SEL with 107k miles. It has gone into a Limp Mode
with a wrench light on the dash. What are the possibilities this could be? FYII
am very diligent about changing fluids and filters. I recently changed
transmission fluid, and PTU Oil, but the vehicle did this before I did any of
that. I am the 2nd owner of the SUV, and am not sure any maintenance was
done prior to me buying it at 49,000 Miles. Thanks in advance!

Our Ford 2008 Edge with less than 60k miles just did this while on the Garden State Pkwy. Accelerating was very difficult. Thanks to all of your comments, I was able to pull us over and restart the ignition. The wrench light went off and we made it to our destination safely and back. I will have to get it looked at. Very scary situation to be in with children in the vehicle and alarming temperatures.
