2008 Ford focus, rough/low idle when warm

Asked by Noneleft Feb 07, 2016 at 02:01 PM about the 2008 Ford Focus SE Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Kept in good condition, high km mostly highway. No check engine light, no
other symptoms. Cold it's fine, almost stalls when warm and at a stop from
driving a while. Automatic.

I have zero skills but I'd like to have an idea of what I'm dealing with before I
go into a shop. Thanks!!

Idle air control valve Common issue in 2004-2009 models. Commonly goes bad when thermostat and radiator fan unit + relay goes out. Followed by a output shaft speed sensor going out, which then people think transmission is going out LOL only a 33$ part , easy replace.
