2008 Chrysler Pacifica touring 4.0 problem. Could it be the shift lever box?

Having trouble starting without shifting lever from neutral to park back and
forth.  I've already replaced shifting linkage from gearshift to transmission and
didn't fix the problem.  Could it be the shift lever box, itself?
