2008 Chevy Cobalt High Piched Sound

Asked by Guru59TTQ Dec 18, 2017 at 04:43 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LT Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt with a little over 121000
miles on it has been making a faint yet high
pitched wining sound the past few weeks. It
doesnt seem to be coming from the hood, but
more so from the back of the car. It happens after I
turn the car on and it doesn't change when
switching gears, accelerating, or anything like that.
The sound remains the same at all times while
driving. Some times the wining is constant while at
other times, the wining seems to stutter. What
found it possibly be?
