I have a reconstructed 2008 cobalt LT in an
okay condition what would be the dealer
trade in price?

They likely won't give you anything for it. They'll show whatever they have to to make you happy and make some sort of a deal on a different car, but you can be sure they have no interest in your car. You are much better to sell it privately for around $3000 and use that money as a down payment on what you are buying. You will tend to get a better deal because the dealer doesn't have to go to the trouble of disposing of the trade in. Unless you're trading in a nearly new car, you're always better to show up with a handful of cash and no trade. Cobalts are good little cars. Clean it up as much as possible so it makes a good impression and then advertise it for sale. You shouldn't have any trouble selling it.
