What model of cobalt is compatible with mine?

I have a 2008 cobalt with a 2.2l
ecotec that doesn't have VVT. I
need to know what motors are
interchangeable with it. The guy
that is supposed to be getting a
motor for me told me that basically
my car was a half year car and that
I would have to get a replacement
motor out of another half year
cobalt.

Don't try to switch a variable cam timing engine with one that is not variable cam timing.

We have determined that much but I need to know if the 07 l61 will switch with my 08.
