When I push on the break pad then shift to drive I here a small clunking sound from transmission. This doesn't happen all the time but enough to notice? I have an 084x4 FJ. And when I push break pad while reversing to engage to drive I here the clunking sound then as we'll. Any suggestions. Thanks Newby.

It could be loose U joints, slop in the transmission or in the differential.

Thank you for the input. Would it have anything to do with the oversize tires and 3" OME suspension?

The lift would increase the angle of the drive shaft unless the rear axle was turned up. That would cause more wear on the "U" joints

Thank you for the advise? Has replacing the U joints been an issue with the FJ? Is this going to cost me$$$
