i have already done that i tow 4500 all the time you know its back there i dont think they tow that great at hight speeds 75. but they get it done iv dragged my old military trailer up and down some cliffs did great

5000 lbs.is the official rating for 2007 Model Year. I tow a 26 ft. travel trailer that is pretty close to the limit. I added a trans cooler and a trans temp gauge. The FJ does fine at lower elevations. But struggles a bit on the high mountain passes (above 6000 ft.). Lower differential gears and the factory supercharger would both be helpful.
