Can another motor be used in a Chevy 2008 HHR?

I have a standard 2008 HHR 2.2 ecotec and the motor is bad. I can not afford a
motor for it due to them being $1,600 and higher. I was wondering is there any
other vehicle motors that can be exchanged for the HHR motor?
