Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My lift gate worked fine with key fob. Now you can
open manually but you can hear motor running. Any
idea what the problem is? When you try to close
with button on hatch it moves about1/4 inch and
that's it.

the plastic gear has cracked with age. Easy repair for a DIY eBay has the parts.
