key won't turn, steering wheel blocked

the key won't turn nor will the steering wheel turn. Totally blocked.

put you for on the brake press turn key it will unlock. it’s a safety feature this happens to me until i remember it won’t start until you put your foot on brake to unlock the wheelMake sure it’s in park please let me know if this helps I have a 04 it does this occasionally
