Check VCS system after battery replacement - no acceleration

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Kids left the tailgate open and the battery died.
Replaced the battery and the car started right up
but with the VCS system off and check engine
lights on. Took it for a spin and realized pretty
quickly that it won't accelerate. Check the gas lid (it
was on to the 'one click' setting. Also disconnected
and connected the battery again - no luck. The car
runs well with no issues prior to replacing the
battery (127,000 miles). Any ideas?

You may need yo have the ECM (Main Computer ) reset, it can only de done at the dealership

Take it to AutoZone or another car parts store, and have them scan for codes for free. Google the codes and see what you get. Since the dead battery is the only thing that has changed, it sounds electronics related.
