2008 Saturn outlook transmision

My 2008 Saturn outlook Started occasionally not
shifting.out of first gear until it was.stopped and
started again. It's been doing that for a a while but
now it won't.shift out of 1st and is slipping and
won't go over 20 or 30 mph b4 it slips and turning it
off and on doesn't help. Our driveway is at a slight
incline and when I start it and try to drive forward it
rolls backward a few feet b4 engaging and moving
forward. Or when I go to park it rolls a bit too b4 it
stops. It is Now there is strange noise coming from
engine also. Would like to know if. V.N.
5GZEV23788J215075 Is on the recall list or list of
transmission issues the manufacturer covers.

Have the codes read , the tranny may need a special code reader , fluid should be nice and pink , not burnt smelling ,, and at the proper level . The vin can be searched but you have to find the DMV one as I remember to get recalls , Like reagan said at the iran contra trial , " I'm sure that information exists but I don't know where to find it ".
