Is check engine light on? may need a full servicing on the engine, not just spark plugs & plug wires, but removing the throttle body & IAC to clean with throttle body cleaner and nylon assorted sizes brushes or new throttle body or dirty fuel injectors may could try some injection cleaner, test fuel pressure to injectors, new air filter, oil & oil filter, checking vacuum lines for cracks, cleaning PCV or replacing, wiring to gas pedal sensor or accelerator sensor, check compression on all cylinders to see if they are low. some of these and most others should be throwing codes.
