Speed won't go over 80 mph

Asked by GuruD5RBHW Feb 15, 2024 at 11:38 AM about the 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I found a owners manual and on page 3-63 It says- This message will display
when your vehicle speed is limited to 80 mph because the vehicle detects a
problem in the speed variable assist steering, magnetic ride control, or
automatic leveling control systems. Have your vehicle serviced by GM
dealer. - Any tips for me based on this info?

You need to have the problem fixed by a competent repair shop that can make the repairs AND reset the computer. Jim

TIP for you!!!!! Get the car to a mechanic... NOW --- How does a mechanic fix this? If you weren't a novice I could explain this, otherwise you wouldn't understand, and it could take pages to provide an all-inclusive treatise.
