Transmission Problems!!

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix V8. I have kept it
up taking it to my dealership for every little minor
detail. Here recently I’ve noticed while driving it will
shift hard, exspecially when shifting in higher gears.
It is an automatic with a slap shift, though I very
seldom use it. I just changed the transmission fluid
and didn’t notice any metal shavings, besides the
ones that my mechanic said should  be there. I also
replaced all the other details that could be the
solution, but it hasn’t seemed to help. Any
suggestions please!!! I love this car!! Please help,

I don't know why your mechanic would tell you there SHOULD be metal shavings in the fluid or pan. They indicate something inside has worn out after 10 years. Take it to a transmission shop. It may need a rebuild or a simple fix. Won't know until they take a look but I would not trust the opinion of your mechanic.

Yes, there should be shavings, even early in the life of the transmission. That's what the magnet is for.
