2008 Grand Prix won't crank

Asked by Thecapricekid79 Nov 13, 2018 at 06:08 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2008 Grand Prix 3.8 non
supercharged won't crank over. It has
a new battery starter and alternator.
I've checked all the grounds fuses
and relays. The security system is not
the problem as I can start the car if I
turn the key to run and short the
starter and solenoid together and it
will fire right up and run fine. But it
won't start using the key. Just looking
For ideas like is it the safety neutral
switch or ingnition switch.

Have you had a scan tool put on it? If so Google the error codes. If not take to a auto parts store and ask them to scan it.
