09 saturn vue XR, is there a solenoid valve in hearter fluid supply pipe

Asked by HHMC Dec 31, 2018 at 01:47 PM about the 2008 Saturn VUE XR V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

At start of winter, it take 2 trips for the heater to have some warmer air.  I
suspect a solenoid valve partially stuck.  Is there a solenoid valve, or a
modulating valve in pipe that supplies fulid to the heater?

1 Answer

No, there is no solenoid valve in water supply to heater coil. So the heater coil is constantly hot. There is one diverted flap in the heater to control inside car temperature. My Saturn Vue XR not heating up was due to a defective thermostat in the radiator. It was replaced and the heating works now.
