Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Saturn Vue (3.5 V-6) with less than 50 K and its in the transmission shop because of
transmission issues, Im afraid that it may have to be rebuilt. I took a chance on american cars and this is
what I get, I guess.
Does anyone know about how much more this GM lemon is going to cost me?

I don't have an answer to your question about the vue. My grand daughter just bought a used vue and has a transmission problem, but let me answer your question about American cars. All cars have their flaws, just depends on which manufacturer and what model year it is, and that includes foreign autos as well. I think modern American cars are well built and durable. It is unfortunate that you got stuck with one that has problems. I have a 2001 Ford F150 with 277,000 miles with original engine and transmission and it still runs good.

The wave plates were not stress relieved, which causes them to break easily. There should of been a recall by GM.
