Not really sure about the tire size on the car but Will 20's or 22's fit on a 2008 Chevy Impala. Not really trying to do any modifications to the car.

Question type: Car Customization

The cars is a five bolt pattern as well. Heard and saw a few youtube videos. Someone said something about the rims being off set. Wasn't sure so I figured I would ask and see what responses I received.

to answer your question, ever rim has a different off set.. Depends on how much room you need for the rotors or clear the wheel wells....

And if the offset is not right the load on the wheel bearing will be in the wrong place and destroy the bearings.

Imagine a wheel on an axle with the bearing in the middle. The load is carried on the center of the bearing. Now imagine taking that same axle and putting the wheel out... off set an inch to the side of the bearing.

anything other then the wheel and tire indicated on the door jamb will be incorrect...stop monkeyin' around with this keen engineering please~ besides your insurance company would sure like to know that you've a non- recommended size on that~

do not pay attention to judge_roy. he is afraid of anything custom. and he thinks the insurance company is "big brother". a custom wheel shop can answer this question for you better than anyone on this site.
