2008 chevy silverado 3500 with duramax engine and speedometer, tach and volt metter pegs out. vehicle runs good otherwise. any ideas what would cause this condition

when driving at highway speed of about 70 mph the speedometer, tachometer and volt meter pegs out and vehicle runs normal.  any idea what could cause this condition

Hello, This is a very common problem on the 03-07(classic) Silverados. The problem is your gauges are malfunctioning and the instrument cluster needs to be rebuilt. Check out www.drspeedometer.com for more info and pricing on a repair. www.drspeedometer.com
