Hello. My 2008 mercury sable loses a little power upon initial acceleration. It drives well on highways and at contant high speeds. what could be the problem, or, remedy?

Scan for fault codes. I think the problem is the fuel filter that should be replaced around 30K miles. It could be a weak fuel pump or fuel pressure sensor.
