My 4WD doesn't work on my 08 Superduty

Asked by Scottboss70 Jul 02, 2020 at 04:16 PM about the 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty Lariat Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently bought a 2008 Super-duty 6.4 Diesel. I tried out the 4 WD from the
buttons in the cab and my back tires started spinning when i tried to go
forward as if the front drive was in a bind. I then locked the manual hubs up
front and the truck moved in 4WD but makes a loud clunking noise as if
something is flopping around. I had the hubs redone but the problem is still
there. I'm pretty disappointed. Any ideas?

If you have to use the manual hubs there is a problem with the vacuum system. The hubs may be leaking air or there is another cause. I would take it back to the shop that worked on your hubs.
