2008 Mercury Mariner left turn signal keeps turning on by itself

2008 Mercury Mariner left turn signal keeps turning on by itself. Sometimes it clicks on once, sometimes it clicks 10 times before it shuts off. Any ideas that could cause this. I live in Arizona, so not sure if it's related to the extreme summer heat.

Mine has the same problem. I replaced the turn signal switch and it continues to do do it.
