More than likely by running out of gas,you drug trash in to your fuel pump, and or gas filter.

As far as,power make sure that battery is fully charged and all cables are clean and tight.

If battery died completely, and you replaced, check all fuses, and your main fuse under hood 30 amp,if fuse,s are good check the positive cable fuse link.

Main fuse is under hood in fuse box driver side, the fuse link is on the positive cable near starter.

One more thing, may have set your anti theft device off when battery died. That would kill the fire to it.
