My rangerover mechanical monitor reads " Stop! Oil press" what does that mean?

It means that the engine does not have enough oil pressure to operate properly.

if you don't stop, and check your oil, it will be an experiment in motor destruction! Where did the oil go? dripping out the pan? oil filter is the wrong one, or installed without the rubber seal, or two seals are there because the grease monkey forgot to peel the old one off...or god forbid went out the tailpipe in exhaust fumes...pkubi---this is serious business....STOP, Oil pressure, is right. listen to your engine alarms already!
