1993 acura legend is it worth keeping?

Asked by Nami May 19, 2021 at 10:37 PM about the 1993 Acura Legend LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 93 acura legend for 500. It runs but has a
bad exhaust smell along with the tailpipe missing and
catalytic converter sawed off. It has problems accelerating
in traffic and smokes from the exhaust when hot. I replaced
the radiator and it the engine is not running too hot but the
fans now wont spin all the time. Checked the oil everything
is perfect. I like the car but what could be causing the
acceleration issue and exhaust smell? Thanks

Nope I would just sell it. Sounds like a money pit. But you do what you want nami it's your car

Since you only paid $500 for it I'd just drive it until it quits or comes due for State inspection. I wouldn't put any money in it. If you get 6 months out of it you got your money's worth. Hope that helps! Jim
