Engine shut off while driving

Daughters 2003 Nissan Xterra shut off while driving. Has lights and horn but
will not start. What problem do we look for first. Ck engine light was on for
knock sensor and o2 sensor.

What is the exact behavior when you try to start it? Any noise at all? Turning over but not firing? Getting the codes pulled again may be helpful too. It may have jumped time, which would give you additional codes.

FYI, knock sensor and O2 sensor would not be the cause of it not starting.
