Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Chevy Tahoe.  Yesterday we drove it then parked it.  Twenty
minutes later went to leave in it and it will not start.  Lights and dings come on
but will not start.  Checked battery and starter and they are fine.  What next?

Does it crank and not start or does it not crank at all? How did you check the battery and starter? Did you try starting in neutral?

The dash lights up but will not turn over. My husband took the battery and starter off and took them to be checked at the parts store.

Check battery cables (both ends) , try starting it in neutral to help eliminate the neutral safety switch, check to make sure the ignition switch is tight.
