Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I guess by looking online, it's a purge
valve?
If it is, is it supposed to be loose?
It's towards the front of the intake
under the cover. Looks like a vacuum
line and wires going to it.
It also has a valve with a green screw
on cap.

Yea, they just sit in there, I thing it is a poor design but when the cover is back on it holds it down. If you have a code because of this, I have gotten lucky by putting some Sill Glide on the "O" ring, it is a type of grease that will not deteriorate the interrogatory of the "O" ring. Otherwise you would have to replace the valve. Clear the codes after trying the Sill Glide.

Nope, no codes.... I was just looking around because the truck has a sleight miss and hesitation. So I was just looking around and seen that valve just flopping around. Well, at least I know now. Thanks
