Ford expedition transmission

Asked by AlanWhittley Mar 29, 2020 at 02:52 PM about the 2005 Ford Expedition XLT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Ford expedition which had a bad
transmission I pulled another 1 from 2004 but the
two plug connectors just hang there's places for
the speed sensors  but one is covered and there is
spots for both but they are not on that
transmission. So my question is can I just pull the
sensors off another tranny and put them in that
spot and do I even need them?

Yes, you need them. You can try putting old sensor in new trans. But if the trans isn't exactly the same model as your old one, it won't work right
