Asked by Mark Oct 02, 2016 at 04:50 PM about the 2006 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2006 Accord 2.4 liter VTEC 4 cylinder engine the
battery is rated 451 cold cranking amps, reading
495 cca; the alternator is putting out 14.7 Volts for
the charging system everything says the battery is
good everything says charging system is good if I
listen to the radio for like 3 hours I can't start the
car the battery is dead. I don't have any interior
lights that are on, don't have any doors open. I'm
not finding anything that's telling me what's going
on. The original battery had no problems with radio
use. Had no problem for first 2 years with this one.
No extra amps, CD player or other power usage
added to factory system. 172,000 miles on car.
