It is hard to diagnose a transmission once it is out of the vehicle. So find a reputable trany guy who can look at it, and put a band aid on it so to speak, but all in all, if there are a lot of miles on the transmission, and it is out of the vehicle already, it is worth having it rebuilt before putting it back in, as long as your vehicle is worth it. It is a big job taking out and putting back in a transmission.
