2004 Ford Explorer. Parked ther left it running, came out and it stalled. Wont crank over or even click, Replaced Battery, starter, and starter relay. Still nothing. All accesories work, but car wont start. Anyone have an idea, or what to check next, I was told an ignition switch might be it.

OK i'm stumped. I have a 2001 ford explorer(please keep comments about fords to yourself ). I've had 4 episodes where i was driving along with no issues and the even though i am excellerating the car stops running and the stalls out. Once i pull it to the side of the road and try to start it it back fires and qcts like it it out of gas but if you wait 30 plus minutes it will start and run for a bit longer then repeats itself a couple more times but then it will runs for days until it does it again. The check engine light is not on but the check gas cap is on. we replaced the gas cap and it is still on. The first time this happened I had it towed and the mechanic tightened the serpentine belt and fixed the manifold gasket. Does anyone have any ideas???? 14 Answers

I have a 2002 ford ex sport trac with a new battery and a new starter. But still will not turn over. It dose click so the relays are ok. And check all fues and are good. Could it be the starter switch? 8 Answers

car will turn over and lights come over but will not fire we tried replacing the starter but that was not the issue

ok I got a 2003 Ford Explorer if I jump it off the solenoid it starts but if I use the key it doesn't do nothing you don't even try to crank over could it be a bad starter 8 Answers
