Either you inadvertently hit the OD OFF selector switch or the car sensed a ghost signal to turn it off. In either case, I would not let it concern me unless it begins happening consistently. Running the car in the OD OFF mode will not harm the car so drive it for now. It will just drop your gas mileage a little since it will run at a slightly higher RPM.
