the oil in my 06 Kia Sportage keeps turning Carmel why is that happening

Milkey looking oil usually has water in it. I would suspect a possible head gasket failure or cracked cylinder head. Have you been losing any coolant?

Are you driving very short trips like 10 miles one way or less?
