What this means in the immediate future is that your anti-lock brakes are not working. Brakes will still function as normal but you lose the assistance of the anti-lock braking system in a panic stop. It could be as simple as a bad wheel speed sensor, or as complex as a problem with the ABS controller or computer. The only thing you can do is have the codes pulled and diagnose the problem from there.
