If original engine, check out the vin/vehicle identification number. Vin P--2.0L engine. Vin B--2.4L engine. Found this info in my database.

It's the big thing under the hood. You can find the engine size by decoding the VIN number.

lol funny its a 2.2 but not sure if its turbo charged or not its got a apparatus on exhaust thats like a fan but not sure if i can be replaced onto another engine someone told us there are 3 different engines

My info for cobalt ss is super charged, the engine listing was 2.0L and 2.4L. I did find 2.2L engine code F for your model year, It didn't say Cobalt. I did look at serpentine belt for 2.2L engine, didn't show turbo or supercharged. I can't say the engine is factory, maybe they added a few things?

The short answer is call the dealer with the VIN and they'll look it up and tell you what engine it has.
