Numer 4 misfire

Asked by Joshua0481 Apr 18, 2016 at 12:21 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt LT Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a number 4 misfire that won't go away. I have
change all the plugs , ignition coils, fuel injectors, and fuel
filter. Nothing I have done has changed a thing. It has
114,600 miles on it. What can I do to save my car?

Try running a compression test on it. Number 4 may have a valve or piston issue.

There is no Ignition Control Module, the computer controls the delivery of the spark. Like Bob says, check the compression on that cylinder.
