Dipstick for transmission on 2007 Pontiac G6 Sedan, there isnt a stick on end of cap?

Took the cap off the transmission oil area and there was no stick on the end. Is there suppose to be? Its an automatic 4cylinder 4door sedan Pontiac G6 2007

That is normal. Most car manufacturers and removing trans dipsticks. Sometimes there is a fluid level check plug on the transmission. It is removed while the car is level and it will show if fluid needs to be added. Otherwise take it to a dealer and have them check it.

The 2007 Owners Manual shows a Dip Stick for the trans axle.

I just bought mine too. The under carriage is full of black liquid and leaving black spots on my car port. 141000 miles
