2007 GMC Sierra classic, 5.3 turns over but won’t start

Asked by Gabesheehan Mar 16, 2018 at 08:52 PM about the 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE1 Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My stepper motor for my fuel gauge has been off
for awhile and today I ended up misjudgeing and
running out of gas. I was lucky enough to have it
happen in my yard and went and grabbed some
cans of gas. The truck wouldn’t start and I turned it
over long enough to rid the lines of any air, so I left
the key on waited for about ten minutes and tryed
again, still nothing. So I checked relays and fused
all was good so I got underneath the truck and got
my buddy to turn the key and I can hear the fuel
pump working. I’m at a loss, the thing just turns and
my plugs are fine so their can’t be any fuel ‍♀️
