2008 Highlander front passenger seat airbag light

The front passenger airbag light is saying off even wit a large adult sitting in the
seat

It could be an issue with the seat cushion sensor or the wiring under the seat or inside the seat itself. Have it checked out by a mechanic or the dealer.
