Question type: Shopping & Pricing

The Market Value according to CarGurus for a vehicle I am thinking to purchase is $9020
what would be the value if it has a rebuilt title or what should I be asking for?

Typically a rebuilt title is worth 70% of the value with a clean title. That is how insurance companies set the value. That said, be very cautious, some cars are perfectly fine and repaired by quality shops but it is still a bit of a risk. Ask to see the original repair estimate so you can tell what had to be replaced and the nature of the situation.

That is not correct. Market value may vary, but as I stated, insurance companies use 70% not 50%
